

CONTEST RULES
K-POP DANCE CONTEST WINTER 2024
I. General Information
-
The organizer of the contest is MiOhi (registered in the CEIDG under NIP number 6372027174), hereinafter referred to as the Organizer.
The subject of these Rules is the “Magnificon K-pop Dance Contest,” hereinafter referred to as the Contest. -
The Contest is divided into two stages:

First Stage – the preliminary stage, consisting of submitting an application via the entry form.

Second Stage – the final stage, consisting of a live performance during the Event.

The First Stage will be conducted online, lasting from September 1, 2025, at 19:00 until November 2, 2025, at 23:59.
The results of the First Stage will be announced on November 3, 2025, at 18:00.
The Organizer decides on qualification to the Second Stage. -
The Second Stage will take place during the Magnificon EXPO 2025 event at EXPO Kraków, Galicyjska 9, Kraków (hereinafter referred to as the Event) on November 30, 2025, at 12:00.
In the Second Stage, the winners will be selected by a Jury appointed by the Organizer, which will be announced before the end of the Second Stage. -
To participate, contestants must submit, within the deadline set by the Organizer, an audiovisual recording meeting the requirements described in §4 of the Rules (hereinafter referred to as the Contest Entry), and correctly fill out the application form (hereinafter referred to as the Application).

The Organizer is also the prize sponsor.

The purpose of the Contest is to promote Korean pop culture and to integrate the Polish K-pop fan community.

II. Participants of the Contest

Any person who is at least 16 years old on the day of the Second Stage and is included in a correctly completed Application (available at: LINK) may participate in the Contest (hereinafter referred to as the Participant).

Participants under the age of 18 must have written parental consent, using the form provided by the Organizer (PARENTAL CONSENT), to take part in the Contest and the Event on the date of the Second Stage.

Participants form groups of at least 2 people, hereinafter referred to as the Team.
-
Each Participant may take part in only one Team.
-
Each Team must appoint a person responsible for submitting the Contest Entry and correctly completing the Application, hereinafter referred to as the Team Leader.
-
Each Team may submit only one Contest Entry and one Application.
-
Active members of the Organizer’s staff may not participate.
-
Each Team Leader may edit or withdraw the Application no later than the day before the end of the First Stage.

Each Participant who qualifies for the Second Stage must have an entry ticket allowing them to attend the Event on the day of the Second Stage final. Tickets can be purchased on the Event’s website at: LINK.

III. Contest Work

To qualify for the Contest, the Contest Entry submitted with the Application must meet the following requirements:

It must be an audiovisual recording (image + sound) with a duration matching the original song performed by a K-pop artist (mashups or remixes are not allowed, except for official remixes used or produced by the original artist).

It must feature at least two people performing the original choreography to a song by a K-pop artist.
-
It must feature the same number of people as in the original K-pop group (excluding “backup dancers”).
-
It must be of good quality (minimum 720p), clear, and with good sound.
-
It must be an original, unaltered recording (the only allowed modification is adding the audio track), not previously published on social media.
-
It must be submitted in the form of a link to an audiovisual file stored on a virtual drive (Google Drive / OneDrive / Mega, etc.) or as an unlisted YouTube video link.
-
It must not contain profanity, offensive content, illegal content, or advertising for any other entities.
-
It must not infringe the rights of third parties, in particular personal rights or copyrights.
-
Costumes used in the Application may differ from those worn during the Event.

Entries failing to meet any of the above requirements will not be qualified for the First Stage.
Entries inaccessible to the Organizer will not be qualified.

By submitting a Contest Entry, the Team Leader commits the Team to perform the same song during the Second Stage as in the submitted Entry.

IV. Course of the Contest

The Team Leader submits the Application together with the Contest Entry.
-
The Organizer selects and qualifies Teams for the Second Stage.
-
The Organizer informs Team Leaders about their qualification.
-
Qualified Teams perform during the Event.
-
The Jury votes and selects the winners of the Second Stage.
-
The Second Stage results are announced during the Event.
-
Prizes are awarded during the Event.

V. International Stage
-
The Team qualifying for the international stage will travel abroad to Catania, Italy, with the Organizer (May/June).
-
Participants will perform on stage at the “K-POP DANCE FIGHT FEST” during the Etna Comics festival.
-
Travel expenses will be covered by the Organizer.
-
All participants must be at least 18 years old (by the date of the contest) to be eligible for the trip.
-
All members of the team who have qualified for the trip must reside within the territory of Poland.
-
The team for the international stage may have no more than seven members.
-
Participation in the international stage is voluntary.
-
The song chosen for the national stage may be changed for the international stage.
-
The team lineup may be modified for the international stage.

V. Winners and Prizes
-
In the Second Stage, three winning Teams will be selected from all qualified Teams.

The following cash prizes will be awarded:

1st place – 4,000 PLN
-
2nd place – 2,000 PLN
-
3rd place – 1,000 PLN
-
-
The right to a prize cannot be transferred to a third party.
-
If a selected Participant does not meet the Contest requirements, another winner will be chosen.
-
Prizes will be awarded to the winners on stage during the Second Stage.

VII. Final Provisions
-
The Organizer may make decisions necessary to ensure the proper conduct of the Contest and the selection of the best Contest Entries, including:

Disqualifying Participants
-
Canceling Applications
-
Such decisions may be made in the event of violations of §2 and 3 of the Rules.

The Organizer reserves the right to change these Rules at any time without providing a reason, provided this does not affect Participants’ acquired rights.
-
The Organizer may disqualify a Participant and/or Team that failed to declare underage members in the Application or includes Participants under 16 years old on the day of the Second Stage.
-
The Organizer reserves the right to cancel the Contest at any time without giving a reason.

Participants have the right to request justification for decisions related to qualification for the Second Stage and for the selection of Contest winners.
