CONTEST RULES
K-POP DANCE CONTEST SPRING 2024
I. General Information

The organizer of the competition is MiOhi (registered in CEIDG under the tax identification number NIP 6372027174), hereinafter referred to as the Organizer.

The subject of the regulations is the "Magnificon K-pop Dance Contest" competition, hereinafter referred to as the Contest.

The competition is divided into two stages:

First Stage - elimination stage, consisting of submitting an application through the registration form.

Second Stage - final stage, consisting of performing live during the Event.
-

The first stage will take place online. It will last from April 20, 2024, at 7:00 PM to May 12, 2024, until 11:59 PM.
-
The results of the First Stage will be announced on May 13, 2024.
-
In the First Stage, qualification for the Second Stage is determined by the Organizer.
-
The second stage of the competition will take place during the Magnificon EXPO 2024 event, at EXPO Kraków, located at 9 Galicyjska Street in Kraków (hereinafter referred to as the Event) on May 19, 2024, at 12:00 PM.

In the Second Stage, the selection of Contest winners will be decided by the Jury chosen by the Organizer, which will be announced before the end of the Second Stage.

Participation in the Contest requires timely submission of an audiovisual recording meeting the conditions discussed in §4 of the Regulations (hereinafter referred to as the Contest Work) and correct completion of the contest registration, hereinafter referred to as the Registration.

The sponsor of the prizes in the competition is the Organizer.

The aim of the competition is to promote Korean pop culture and integrate the Polish community of K-pop fans.

II. Participants of the Contest

Any person who is sixteen years old or older on the day of the Second Stage and is included in a correctly filled out Registration (available at: LINK) can participate in the contest, hereinafter referred to as the Participant.

Participants under the age of eighteen who have been entered into the Contest are required to have written consent from a parent, using the form provided by the Organizer (LINK), to participate in the Contest and the Event on the day of the Second Stage.

Contest participants form groups of at least 2 people, hereinafter referred to as a Team.
-
Each Contest Participant has the right to participate in the Contest only in one Team.

Each Team should designate one person who will submit the Contest Work to the Organizer and fill out the Registration correctly, hereinafter referred to as the Team Leader.
-
Each Team can submit only one Contest Work and fill out only one Registration.
-
Persons actively involved as Organizers cannot participate in the Contest.

Each Team Leader has the right to edit and/or withdraw the Registration no later than the day before the end of the First Stage.

Each Participant who qualifies for the Second Stage is required to have a ticket allowing them to attend the Event on the day of the Second Stage. Tickets can be purchased on the Event's website at: LINK

III. Contest Work

To qualify for the Contest, the Contest Work attached to the Registration must meet the following conditions:
-
The Work must be an audiovisual recording (video + sound) with a length corresponding to the original song performed by a K-pop artist (mashups or remixes are not allowed, except for official remixes used or produced by the original artist).

The Work must feature at least two people performing the original choreography to the song performed by a K-pop artist. (The XG group is also allowed).

The Work must feature the same number of people as in the original K-pop group (excluding "backup dancers").
-
The Work must be of good quality (at least 720p), clear, and audible.
-
The Work must be an original, unmodified recording (the only permitted modification is adding an audio track), not previously published on social media.
-
The Contest Work must be attached to the Registration in the form of a link to the audiovisual recording on a virtual drive (Google Drive / OneDrive / Mega, etc.) or a link to a non-public video on the YouTube platform.

The Work must not contain vulgarities, offensive content, or content contrary to the law, as well as advertising content related to any other entities.

The Work must not infringe on the rights of third parties, including personal rights and copyright.
-
The costumes used in the Registration may differ from those used during the Event.
-

Works that do not meet at least one of the above conditions will not be qualified for the First Stage of the Contest.
-
Works to which the Organizer does not have access will not be qualified for the First Stage of the Contest.
-
The Work submitted by the Team Leader commits the Team to perform in the Second Stage with the same song that is featured in the Contest Work.

IV. Course of the Contest

Submission of the Registration by the Team Leader attached with the Contest Work.
-
Selection of Registrations by the Contest Organizer and qualification of Teams for the Second Stage.
-
Informing Team Leaders about the qualification of Teams for the Second Stage.
-
Performance of the qualified Teams during the Event.
-
Jury voting, selection of winners of the Second Stage.
-
Announcement of the results of the Second Stage during the Event.
-
Award presentation during the Event.

V. Winners and Prizes
-
In the Second stage of the contest, three Winners will be selected from all the Teams qualified for the Second Stage.

The following cash prizes will be awarded in the Contest:

For "1st place" a prize of 4000 PLN;
-
For "2nd place" a prize of 2000 PLN;
-
For "3rd place" a prize of 1000 PLN;
-

The Contest Winner cannot transfer the right to the prize to third parties.
-
In case the Participant selected by the Organizer does not meet the Contest conditions, another Winner will be chosen.
-
The prize will be awarded to the Winners on stage during the Second Stage.

VII. Final Provisions
-
The Organizer has the right to make the following decisions if necessary to ensure the proper conduct of the Contest and the selection of the best Contest Works:

Exclusion of Contest Participants,
-
Cancellation of Registrations.

Decisions by the Organizer as mentioned in paragraph 1 may be made in the event of a Participant's violation of the provisions of §§2 and §3 of the Regulations.

The Organizer reserves the right to change this Regulation at any time without giving a reason, provided that it does not affect the acquired rights of the Participants.

The Organizer has the right to disqualify a Participant and/or Team who did not inform about the participation of individuals under the age of eighteen during the Registrations, or has Participants under the age of sixteen on the day of the Second Stage.

The Organizer reserves the right to cancel the Contest at any time without giving a reason.

Participants have the right to contact the Organizer regarding Contest matters at: dance@miohi.pl.

Participants have the right to request justification for decisions related to qualification for the Second Stage and the selection of Contest Winners.
